Resting on the banks of the Red Deer River, Wildhorse Flats has 360-degree views of the mountains, complete with rivers, waterfalls and wildlife (we regularly see wild horses!)

The trail rides here are situated in rugged back country and are offered in Half Day or Full Day adventures. A maximum of 6 people per group allows you to really spend the day relaxed and plugged in to nature

 

Just 100-kms from Cochrane or 65-kms from Sundre, Wildhorse is the perfect place to spend your day.

Half Day Mountain Ride,
 4 hour Trail Ride in the heart of the Rocky Mountains. Ride along  the Red Deer River and explore Wildhorse Flats. Snacks and bottled water provided.  $100
Full Day Mountain Rides, 
6 hour Trail Ride that gives you all the back country scenery you could imagine. Cross the Red Deer River and let your Wild take over. Snacks and bottled water provided.  $169

How to get here... from Cochrane

Directions from the Hwy 22 and Hwy 1A intersection in Cochrane: Travel west on hwy 1A 13 km to Hwy 40 north.  Turn right and go 27 km where the pavement turns to gravel and you enter the  Ghost Public  Land Use Zone. The road is now considered 940 Foresty Trunk Rd. Travel 54 km to a blue bridge and a T intersection which is Secondary rd 734.  Turn left towards Wildhorse Provincial Recreation Area. Go 6km and turn left into location.

How to get here... from Sundre

From Sundre Tim Hortons travel west on HWY 584 for 8 km to Coal Camp Rd. Turn left and travel 45 km to Secondary 734. Turn left and continue for 2.8 km, do not cross the blue bridge and continue for another 5.6 km. Turn left into location.
